There are so many different types of decorative lamps, so
it’s bound to be a time when you're not sure which one to go with.
This is quite common problem, and you should never let this
be a turn off when it comes to choosing a lamp. First off, lighting should be a
fun and it should represent who you are. Whether it's for functional or
decorative purposes, you should figure out what is the main intention of this
decorative lamp in your home decor. Does this lamp act as a lighting fixture or
is it a core center piece used for home decoration? Many lamps are made to
serve for a function; some may even be capable of multiple functions. All
decorative lamps are functional to a certain degree and can be used for lighting;
otherwise, the lamp would be pointless. However, since there are so many types
of lamps, it is important to keep in mind how strongly it illuminates a room;
if it is for decoration and you plan to have several lamps, it would be wise to
choose some that illuminates less, so they can be turned on without being
pointless or wasteful.

Do I want to get a decorative lamp for decoration to
complement the style of the room?
Is there a certain lighting accent I'm trying to bring out
within the room?
How many lights do I want in the room? Will I want to turn
